Designed by Copenhagen-based duo Oberdoerfer & Krebs, Dotted Side Table is a study in material transformation, combining digital extrusion with tactile artisan handwork. The piece is initially printed flat in transparent recycled PETG (rPETG) embedded with a contrasting pattern of translucent blue dots. The flat matrix is subsequently reheated, formed, and joined by hand to form a rigid, load-bearing geometric side table.

By interrupting the mechanical 3D-printing process, Oberdoerfer & Krebs ensure that every join and surface condition retains subtle, intentional variations—turning industrial polymer manufacturing into a narrative of individual craftsmanship. Translucent, light-capturing, and structurally self-supporting, the side table functions as both a functional accent piece and an expressive sculptural object.

Artist

Oberdoerfer & Krebs is a design studio founded by Bruno Oberdoerfer and Jasper Krebs, operating out of Copenhagen. Emerging from the Royal Danish Academy, the duo explores large-scale 3D printing as an open, adaptable manufacturing process. By intentionally interrupting toolpaths and post-processing bio-based and recycled polymers—reheating, bending, and joining extruded sheets by hand—Oberdoerfer & Krebs push additive manufacturing past rigid geometric profiles into fluid, one-of-a-kind functional furniture. Their work examines the intersection of digital technology, material circularity, and handcraft.

Dispatch is coordinated promptly once your order is confirmed. Shipping fees and delivery windows are assessed per item based on destination, calculated at checkout, or quoted individually. You will receive tracking information via email as soon as your piece has shipped.
Return Policy

All sales are final. Due to the unique nature of gallery acquisitions, limited editions, and bespoke productions, we do not accept returns, refunds, or cancellations once an order or deposit is confirmed. Transit & Condition Claims: Every piece is inspected and documented prior to release. Transports are conducted via specialized white-glove art logistics. The recipient must inspect the shipment upon delivery in the presence of the carrier. Any claim regarding transit damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and submitted to info@piecederesistance.com within 24 hours with high-resolution photographs of the damage and packaging. Failure to report within this window constitutes full acceptance of the piece in its delivered state.

Material Variations & Handcrafted Character

Each work presented by Pièce de Résistance is individually hand-crafted or produced in limited studio editions using raw, natural, or hand-worked materials—including wood, metal, resin, and ceramic. Due to the artisanal methodology and organic nature of these materials, subtle variations in texture, grain, tone, patination, and minor dimensional nuances are inherent to the process. Imagery and gallery display pieces (including Artist Proofs) serve as accurate references, but final pieces may display unique, natural distinctions. These variations are essential to the artistic integrity of collectible design and do not constitute defects.

Limitation of Liability

Neither Pièce de Résistance nor its represented designers and artists shall be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the handling, installation, use, or placement of any object. The gallery and its designers assume no liability for damage, wear, or alteration occurring after final delivery and client acceptance, including damage resulting from improper installation, environmental exposure, or normal wear and tear.
