Stripped of extraneous ornament, the Paris Chair by Mack Furniture stands as a study in pure geometry, structural clarity, and architectural weight. Constructed from solid mahogany, the chair relies on rigorous right angles and thick-plank proportions, balanced by a subtle, ergonomic carve along the seat pan for quietly considered comfort.

The deep, reddish-brown tones and ribbon-grain patterning of the mahogany lend a warm, quiet nobility to its block-like silhouette. Functioning with equal presence as a solitary dining seat or a rigorous sculptural accent, the design reflects Mack Furniture’s dedication to elemental joinery, precise craft, and enduring material integrity.

Designer

Mack Furniture is a Berlin-based design studio founded and run by Christoph Mack. Drawing from his background as a photographer, Mack brings a sharp, instinctual eye for visual composition, light, and proportion to spatial design. His practice centers on solid timber construction—guided by an intuitive understanding of lumber grain and traditional joinery to produce quietly expressive, enduring objects.

Return Policy

All sales are final. Due to the unique nature of gallery acquisitions, limited editions, and bespoke productions, we do not accept returns, refunds, or cancellations once an order or deposit is confirmed. Transit & Condition Claims: Every piece is inspected and documented prior to release. Transports are conducted via specialized white-glove art logistics. The recipient must inspect the shipment upon delivery in the presence of the carrier. Any claim regarding transit damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and submitted to info@piecederesistance.com within 24 hours with high-resolution photographs of the damage and packaging. Failure to report within this window constitutes full acceptance of the piece in its delivered state.

Material Variations & Handcrafted Character

Each work presented by Pièce de Résistance is individually hand-crafted or produced in limited studio editions using raw, natural, or hand-worked materials—including wood, metal, resin, and ceramic. Due to the artisanal methodology and organic nature of these materials, subtle variations in texture, grain, tone, patination, and minor dimensional nuances are inherent to the process. Imagery and gallery display pieces (including Artist Proofs) serve as accurate references, but final pieces may display unique, natural distinctions. These variations are essential to the artistic integrity of collectible design and do not constitute defects.

Limitation of Liability

Neither Pièce de Résistance nor its represented designers and artists shall be held liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the handling, installation, use, or placement of any object. The gallery and its designers assume no liability for damage, wear, or alteration occurring after final delivery and client acceptance, including damage resulting from improper installation, environmental exposure, or normal wear and tear.
