Defined by architectural offset and material density, the Modul vase series by Cornelius Réer investigates the relationship between serial geometric forms and hand-blown variation. The object comprises two stacked cylindrical volumes fused along a displaced axis, creating an intentional step that disrupts the singular vertical silhouette.

Molded with a tactile, subtly textured surface finish, the thick-walled glass manipulates depth, refraction, and light transmission across its contours. Functioning both as a precise vessel for floral arrangements and an autonomous spatial volume, the piece balances structural discipline with the fluidity inherent to free-blown glassmaking.

Cornelius Réer is a Nuremberg-based master glassmaker whose practice centers on technical precision, serial modularity, and process-driven design. Operating his own independent furnace workshop (Glaswerkstätte Cornelius Réer), Réer controls every stage of production to explore the physical parameters of glass as an architectural material.
