Part luminous sculpture, part architectural screen, the Maschere wall lamp by Florence-based artist Duccio Maria Gambi explores the poetic interplay of transparency, color, and shadow. The piece is constructed around a substantial pane of hand-painted glass featuring bold, horizontal bands of dark pigment overlaid with vibrant yellow accents.

The glass facade is mounted onto a concealed metal bracket housing two LED tubes. When unlit, the fixture functions as a striking pictorial panel defined by painterly texture and graphic rhythm. Once illuminated, soft ambient light diffuses through the painted glass, transforming the rigid volume into a warm, glowing totem.

Artist

Italian artist Duccio Maria Gambi develops a material-driven practice at the intersection of architecture, industrial experiment, and fine art.
